Navajo Technical University STEM & SKILLS Program provides high school students with opportunities to explore their career and academic interests and spark new passions. STEM & SKILLS also allow high school students to get a taste of college life and meet other students from other high schools.
STEM & SKILLS is a Dual Credit summer program which offers high school students the opportunity to take online classes thru the main campus on NTU campus located in Crownpoint, New Mexico. The students experience college life during the summer. The program is 5 weeks long.
The program focuses on a number of diverse subjects, such as Welding, Construction, Business and Entrepreneurship, Culinary, Computer Programming and Engineering. STEM & SKILLS offers both residential and commuter options. We work with your high school teachers and administration to match courses and projects that are meaningful to students, school and community. Limited slots are available for students interested in living on campus.
In addition, not only are students able to take classes from college professors or visiting scholars, but they’re also able to listen to lectures from alumni and participate in social activities.
STEM AND SKILLS offers admission through the Dual Credit application process.The program is specific to students from high schools with Dual Credit agreements with NTU. Check the program website for admission requirements.
